Halloween!
Halloween is fast approaching!
Remember that our friends in the lower grades might get scared if they see scary masks. So we are asking that students do not wear their scary masks to the parade. Bloody masks will also not be aloud to be warn.
After the Halloween parade we will be having a party in our classroom. Thank you to everyone who offered to bring treats for our party!

This Year's Gonna Rock!
As a class we have been discussing the value of working as a team.
Everyone has the power to make their own choices, and treat other's the
way they wish to be treated. We have also discussed Multiple Intelligences (such as, fun, safety, freedom, power and love), and
how everyone has different strengths. The pictures represent the students multiple intelligence's and what is important to them.
This is what the pictures represents:
FUN: Sun's rays are the things you like to do
SAFETY: The Inuksuk contains names of people you can count on
FREEDOM: The clouds contain choices you get to make
POWER: The things you are good at are listed in the fish
LOVE and BELONGING: People you enjoy spending time with are
listed on the land
Your hopes and dreams for the future are in the flowing water

Update From
Team 16!
Team 16 has been working very hard
this month!
In
Mathematics, we are continuing with “Number
Sense” and “Patterning” clusters in the classroom. It is very important that
all students have a good understanding of their addition and subtraction facts.
Please feel free to practice at home with your child.
In
Language Arts, the students have
been working really hard during Writer’s Workshop and Daily 5. We have recently been working on publishing
stories.
In
Social Studies, we are currently
exploring our unit of “Geography”. The students have taken the time to research
their project on a Province or Territory. Next week we will continue to work on
our projects.
In
Science, we are exploring our
cluster on “Weather”. The students have been exploring a variety of experiments
and now we are concentrating on clouds.
